A new Vision for living, thinking

Three years ago, Natwar Patel and Raojibhal Patel for the All World Gayatri Pariwar, armed with a vision for a center with programs and resources that would encourage Simple Living and High Thinking began a search, with the help of Anita Singh of CENTRUY 21 Worden & Green for a site that could make that vision a reality.  On Saturday August 29 at 240 Centennial Avenue in Piscataway, they hosted a dedication ceremony for the Gayatri Chentna Center.  The event was attended by guests and dignitaries from across the United States and from as far away as India.  The dedication, ceremonies, lead by Dr. Pravay Pandya, founder of the All World Gayatri Pariwar, were conducted under four elaborately decorated giant tents erected on the grounds of the new property.  The full two-day program was punctuated by prayer, speeches, Hindu rituals, laughter and joy.  Singh a commercial real estate broker, who worked on the project for its entire three-year process, delivered the opening remarks.  State Senator Bob smith, D-17th Dist., address the crowd and welcomed the Gayatri Chetna Center to the community.  Piscaaway mayor Brian Wahler of Piscataway welcomed the crowd in Hindi and then, in English, talked about how the center would greatly enhance the community life in the township.  Other speakers included state senator Loretta Weinberg, D-37th Dist., and Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula, D-17th Dist.  Pictured, left to right, are Natwar Patel, Mukesh Singh Pragya Singh, Weinberg, Mayor Brian Wahler, Smith, Chivukula, Anita Singh, Mark Green, Sunhil and Pratigya Singh.  The center includes rooms for cultural activities and youth development programs, meditation areas and a library dedicated to the development of spirituality and self-development.  The center is open to the general public.  For additional information visit
